My name is Emmanuel Ayomide Kristiyefunmi. I am a university graduate and an old boy of Grace & Diadem College Apata Ibadan Nigeria.
I not only had the rare privilege of a scholarship from Grassroots Growth Initiative International Inc GGI while in the school but the Director and visioneer Barr Segun Olonade secured a free computer training institute for me immediately after secondary school.
When I look at where I am today, I realize that my journey into the tech world wasn’t just about my own effort—it was about a seed sown into my life by this father figure.
I am where I am today because Barrister Olonade, didn’t just see me as a student; he took me as his son. At a time when I needed direction and tools to succeed, he provided me with a laptop.
That laptop was more than just a computer; it was the key to my future. It was the tool that unlocked my potential and allowed me to build the skills I have today. Because of that specific investment, I have flourished in the technology sector, building a versatile career in infrastructure support, web development, and digital solutions.
I am a living testimony that when you invest in a young mind, you are investing indeed into generations to come for Africa’s transformation through human capacity building.
