My time at Diadem College remains one of the most defining periods of my life. I did not just get an excellent academic foundation, I also received training in godly values which continues to shape my approach to life and living today.
Organising a GGI sensitization and meeting with the Bricklayers association in Orita Faaji was an opportunity to see development from the perspective of the people. We heard what their needs were, their expectations from the government, etc. It was an opportunity that proved that interaction with the people at the grassroots is one of the best ways to transform society.
The Bakatari outreach was one where I had to be. I realized that it is so easy to live in the bubbles of our own lives, especially in the city, without understanding what goes on in the periphery. GGI did not only give food, clothing, and other provisions to the people, they also gave them hope. Hope that they are being thought of, that they also are a relevant part of society. It was an impactful experience and I’m glad that GGI still continues this program.
My heading is awesome
And the subtitle is better
